Continuous Flow Installs Dianella. Continuous flow units only heat up the water once a tap is turned on so they require a larger gas supply running to it than your conventional storage hot water units. In many cases the gas supply needs upgrading and sometimes an outside power point installed. At Mitie we can provide a 6 star unit and the electrical connection to upgrade the unit to a much more energy efficient unit.
Unlike storage units continuous flow units are much smaller and don’t store any water already heated up. These units will heat up once the tap is turned on so if the house was vacant for a month there would be no gas used.
Continuous flows can incur higher installation costs but the running costs are significantly less than the traditional storage units.
